Design Featuring Sir-Living

About our team: Here at Sir-living, we find that the most integral part of design is to marry the existence of a home and a space for our clients, guests, and vacationers to enjoy alike. We understand that our clients want a space that is comfortable for themselves as well as their guests. Through our process, we are able to use the architecture and design to completely rework the property into an environment that is open for living and play.

The properties that we design have the ability to shift and mold depending on our guests’ taste and preferences We want our guests and vacationers to engage with the outside world just as much as the inside. From a wide free-range backyard to a plush bedroom lit up with natural sunlight and fresh air, our designs aim to please in every way possible.

The first step: collaboration is key

Our design philosophy stresses the importance of designing a home that fills the needs of the people occupying that space. Our clients often come to us with homes that are empty and in need to a fresh and personalized touch. Our interior designers go through a rigorous design process that allows them to transform these empty spaces into luxurious, vacation rental friendly homes.

Our first and main objective is to collaborate with our clients to build and design a living space that matches their vision. Through our philosophy, we focus on developing a home that can cater to a vast majority. Here at Sir-Living, we specialize in designing homes that embrace the simple yet luxurious living that California is known for. We aspire to create a space that can serve as entertainment and relaxation for our clients, guests, and vacationers.

We want to bring our clients’ visions to life and our expertise gives us an edge in bringing these ideas to fruition. Once we get a clear perspective on what our client is looking for, we move on to submitting a proposal, which includes scop of jobs, furnishing budget, and design agreement for clients to review. Following clients’ review of that proposal and design agreement, another discussion can take place to clarify any question or concern. If proposal is approved, and agreement is signed, we move to Step 2.

Step 2: Conceptualization

After a lengthy discussion on what our client is looking for in terms of the desired aesthetic and functionality of their space, we move on to working on site where we will further discuss the dimensions, function, and purpose. Our designers are with you every step of the way as you determine how you want to shape each room of the house to fit the look and feel of your vision as well as how to best use the space given to us.

Step 3: Schematic design phase

Once we get a feel of the location and property, Sir-Living will create a concept board which will offer our clients a visualization of their design. This is not the final design, as our interior designers will continue to work closely with our clients to fine tune certain aspects of the look and feel of the living space.

Once our concept board is to our client’s standards and we are given the permission to move on, we will start to source, order and purchase items, manage shipment, as well as disposing of any unwanted items on site*.

*Additional fees may include third parties like movers, handymen, general subcontractors so we can manage cost, time, and various aspects of the design and building stage.

Step 4: Rendering & elevations

An add on option, our rendering services can provide either a full home or room-by-room redesign in 3D. (This is neither necessary or required and is usually reserved for projects with a budget of over $250,000

Step 5: The final touches

This phase is our favorite. As we start assembling and installing the necessary items within the house, we start to see our client’s concept and designs come to life. In this phase, we continue to work closely with our clients as we navigate through putting in the final touches of the home. Depending on the project size, this phase can vary in finishing time.
